Collection and Use of Information
American DataBank only collects information that is required to complete the services requested by the user and authorized in writing in accordance with provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

  • Point of Collection
    American DataBank collects information from our users at several different points on our website. Personal information may be gathered from third parties as needed; data gathered may include residential history, employment history, education history, criminal record history, reference interviews, credit history, driving, general reputation and government exclusion lists.
  • Cookies
    Some of the information we gather is maintained through the use of Cookies. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. Cookies allow web site operators to customize visits to meet individual user preferences. American DataBank may use cookies to help provide you with a better experience on our site.   • Employee Access
    All American DataBank employees sign a Confidentiality Agreement before beginning employment. Access to all processing systems is through user-specific password protection. Employees receive training on the need to and measures for protecting individual privacy prior to being granted system access.
  • Information Sharing
    Information collected is never sold or shared with a party unless the party has been granted access by the applicant during the authorization process. Disclosure is limited except as required or permitted by law.
  • Processing Location
    All information is processed within the United States. Information is only sent outside the U.S. when completing international verifications, with additional precautions.
  • Onward Transfer
    Information obtained is forwarded only to the end-user or their authorized agent, with assurance of proper handling and safeguarding.

Consumer User Right of Access to Information
American DataBank will provide access to the information obtained for your background check, allowing review and correction requests. Under FCRA, you are entitled to a copy of your report.

Data Security and Integrity
American DataBank employs strict measures to protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or destruction. All data is encrypted using SSL, stored on secure servers, and protected through password access and secure facilities.
